Leroo La Tau is built on a 25m high cliff of the Boteti on the Western Boundary of Makgadikgadi National Park. A wood, reed and thatch structure, the main lodge overlooks a rolling lawn disappearing over high cliffs and into the Boteti River Bed . The Boteti River last flowed in 1993, however after the rainy season this area explodes with life as wildlife congregate around precious water holes.

As there are no manmade boundaries separating the lodge from the National Park, game viewing is rewarding. Nxai Pan National Park and the famed Baine’s Baobabs are situated in the northern reaches of the Makgadikgadi system. These areas make for exciting day trips from Leroo La Tau.
The spectacular annual Zebra and Wildebeest migration ocurs in this region. At this time, whilst exploring the lodge surrounds, guests will witness the interaction of an extraordinary number of animals – including Zebra, Wildebeest, antelope and elephant, along with the predators that follow them.
The bird life is prolific in this area too.
