 Gunns Main Camp -the flagship accommodation – consists of seven fully furnished, deluxe Kenya-style meru tents with en-suite bathrooms set on raised platforms overlooking the delta plains. The honeymoon suite is built into one of the ancient African Ebony trees. The island is connected to the main camp by a small causeway crossing the wetlands and magically lit by a series of fairylike lanterns. Guests have access to the elevated bar, lounge and dining room, campfire boma and swimming pool.

 Children over the age of 10 years are accepted on application only. Please note that all children are under the full responsibility of their parents.

Your stay at Gunns Main Camp in inclusive of your accommodation, all meals, local brand beverages, laundry, activities and National Park Fees. Premium brand beverages are excluded and can be paid for directly whilst at camp.
Generated electricity is available at the camp during certain times of the day, allowing video and camera batteries to be recharged. An adaptor is provided at the camp – 12 Volt.
Please note that mokoro excursions and motor boating activities are dependent of the water levels. These activities may be restricted between January and May. However, game walks are available year round.

Activities include mokoro (dug out canoes) excursions and motor boating (water-levels permitting) as well as game walks on the surrounding palm islands.
This area in the delta can bring you in close contact with hippo, crocodiles, lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, wild dog, zebra, a variety of buck… to name a few. This area is also a birders paradise for those having a specific interest in birds.
