Kanana Camp (Setswana word for paradise) is located in the remote inner reaches of the Okavango Delta. Set in idyllic surrounds amongst fig and palm trees and overlooking seasonal floodplains.

Kanana’s eight tents (accommodating 16 guests) offer en-suite facilities and decks overlooking the Delta. The common facilities of the camp are also built up on stilts overlooking the floodplains. The main dining area offers imaginative table settings and delicious bush meals, prepared by experienced safari chefs.

Game Viewing & Activities:   

  A wide variety of game frequent the islands around Kanana Camp, including impala, lechwe, leopard, lion and elephant. Game drives in open 4X4 vehicles during the day and night are on offer, together with mokoro excursions on the waterways.
Kanana Camp is one of the few camps in the Delta to have its ‘own’ heronry where many migratory water birds come to nest from July onwards. Birds you will encounter at the heronry include marabou, yellow-bill and open-bill storks. Kanana is also known for its regular sightings of the elusive Pels Fishing Owl .
