The Ngwesi House Boat is named after the Tiger fish found in abundance in the Okavango Delta. Moored in Shakawe, the “Ngwesi” Luxury River Boat, consists of a upper and lower deck, and is staffed by a licensed Skipper and trained staff. The Ngwesi House Boat has it’s own “tender” boats, which are used to explore the various waterways of the Delta.

The lower deck consists of 4 en suite cabins, two with twin beds and the other two with double beds. Through design, there is maximum privacy for each cabin. Glass sliding doors allow for spectacular views from the bedrooms. Bathrooms are spacious, with hot and cold fresh water showers. All cabins are tastefully decorated with the finest linen.

Delicious African cuisine is served by candle or lamplight by attentive waiters and prepared by discerning chefs onboard the Ngwesi House Boat.

Game Viewing & Activities:     

The Upper deck is where you can view the passing Okavango Delta in all its splendour. A superior vantage point never obtained in a 4×4 game drive vehicle. This spacious wooden deck is perfect for relaxation and comfort too. For the more athletic, perform your daily exercise regimen right there under the African sun.

Fishing:-

The necessary tackle and bait are provided along with an informative guide who will select a prime spot from where catches are to be made. You are able to fish from the House Boat or from the Tender Boats.
Birding:- A myriad of water birds may be viewed either in the delta from the houseboat or tender boats for example the African Fish Eagle, Pels Fishing Owl.

Game Viewing:-

The Delta’s wetland wilderness of channels, palm islands and grassy floodplains are host to a magnificent array of wild life. Hippos and crocodiles can be found in the maze of waterways. You will explore these waterways with your experienced Guide.
