Upon your arrival into Kasane Airport, you will be met and welcomed by a representative from Chobe Game Lodge, who will transfer you to the lodge. The only permanent game lodge situated within the Chobe National Park, Chobe Game Lodge is a premier venue for guests to explore the park. You will have a choice of land and water based activities including 4×4 game drives, game viewing on the Chobe River by motorboat, sunset cruises and Tiger fishing.
The major feature of Chobe National Park is the elephant population. Chobe hosts perhaps the largest surviving elephant populations in the world, currently estimated to exceed 120,000. The Chobe elephants are migratory, making seasonal movements of up to 200 kilometers, from the Chobe and Linyanti rivers, where they concentrate in the dry season, to the pans in the southeast of the park, where they gather during the rainy season. You will have the opportunity of observing the elephants from game drives and boat cruises, during your stay at Chobe Game Lodge.
Day: 3 & 4
Depart Chobe Game Lodge on a scheduled road transfer to Kasane Airport, in time for your scheduled charter flight to Stanley’s Camp, in the Okavango Delta. Stanley’s Camp borders the southern section of the Moremi Game Reserve. Stanley’s Camp offers excellent game viewing with regular sightings of buffalo, elephant, wild dog, lion, leopard, cheetah and giraffe.
Spend a day learning about the African elephants and observing them up close in their natural environment. This activity encompasses a leisurely paced walk with a trio of semi-habituated elephants, becoming personally acquainted with them, observing and interacting with them. You will enjoy a picnic lunch with the elephants. Please note that no riding on the elephants is allowed. The main objective is to build a relationship between you and the elephants.
Day: 5
After and early morning breakfast and possible activity, you will depart on a scheduled charter flight from Stanley’s Camp to Maun Airport.
