Day 1 & 2

Upon your arrival into Maun Airport you will be met by a representative from The Booking Company who will welcome you and who will assist you with your connection onto the light aircraft for your flight to Camp Moremi, where you will stay for 2 nights. Camp Moremi is situated on the beautiful Xakanaxa Lagoon in the heart of the Okavango Delta, within the Moremi Game Reserve. Xakanaxa is renowned as one of the best game viewing areas in Botswana. Camp Moremi accommodates only 22 guests in East African-style safari tents, individually situated on raised teak platforms. Each tent is exquisitely furnished with its own private bathroom situated adjacent to the tent.

Enjoy tracking big game on morning and afternoon game drives by open 4×4 safari vehicles and exploring the Xakanaxa Lagoon and surrounding Okavango channels by motorboat.

After an early morning activity and breakfast, if time permits; you will connect with light aircraft for your flight to Xugana Island Lodge, where you will stay for 2 nights.Xugana Island Lodge is situated on a wooded island abutting the Xugana lagoon, in the heart of the Okavango Delta.

Xugana Island Lodge is situated on a wooded island abutting the Xugana lagoon, in the heart of the Okavango Delta. The lodge accommodates just 16 guests in eight large raised reed and thatch chalets. Each chalet is twin bedded with en-suite facilities, showers, overhead fans and a private deck.

Mokoro trips in dugout canoes, combined with walking, to surrounding lagoons and islands in the concession give guests the chance to experience a classic Delta safari. Motor boat excursions through the reeded waterways are also enjoyed here. Xugana is a true “water land” paradise with no vehicles. Bird-watching opportunities are outstanding, and fishing for bream and tiger fish is also offered as an activity at the lodge.
